Merge basic education into pre-tertiary education

I think what can be sourced from basic education (which currently has no inline citations) should be merged into this article. This article provides a more clear, if very much a stub, definition of basic education from which to expand the topic. Novaseminary (talk) 07:20, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

I propose this redirect should be reversed. We have have definitions of Basic education from a UNESCO document while nowhere is there a acceptable international definition of Pre-tertiary education which seems to be a handle used in certain university SCRs, to describe what students have been through.

I need the term Basic education as a link from Secondary education and the ISCED definitions. While waiting for a concensus I will improve this article as if it had been titled Basic education. And look forward to cooperative edits ClemRutter (talk) 10:16, 10 March 2017 (UTC)

Yes, the merge was completely illogical because pre-tertiary includes upper secondary education and so is specifically not the same as basic education. --Espoo (talk) 12:41, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
