Studio and date for title track recording

"In May 1969, Mickie Most produced at least one session with Donovan fronting the Jeff Beck Group. "Goo Goo Barabajagal (Love Is Hot)" ... and "Trudi" (originally "Bed with Me") resulted from these sessions." But this does not match with the info box which gives "May 1968 (tracks 1, 2, 9)" in LA? Surely it should be "May 1969 in London" for those three tracks? Also seems to not align with the autobiography. Are those info box details correct? Martinevans123 (talk) 22:09, 27 July 2014 (UTC)

This source says: "· Barabajagal, Trudi and Stromberg Twins were recorded with the Jeff Beck group, at Olympic Studios, London. Rod Stewart was in the Jeff Beck group at the time but he does not sing on any of the songs. There were other songs recorded with the Jeff Beck group but they remained unreleased until they appeared as bonus tracks on the 2005 reissue of the album." Removed cn "where" from article

I removed the "where" in reference to the location the Barabajagal sessions from article. It seemed unnecessary and inappropriate. If the author did not have a reliable source from which to cull that information it would have been unwise to supply one in the text. Also, the "where" indicated there was geographical information in the text which there was not. As stated in my edit, if this is in error feel free to revert with reason for reversion. Significant Changes to the Track Listing Section

I am making significant edits to the track listing section. I am basing my changes on LP back covers and media label from the US, Canada and Netherlands. (The album was not released in the UK due to contractual disputes.) I believe these countries are representative. I sampled artwork from a few other countries and they were the same.

The changes are:

"Barabajagal (Love Is Hot)" -> "Barabajagal"

"Superlungs (My Supergirl)" -> "Superlungs My Supergirl"

"Where Is She?" -> "Where Is She"

Sounds perfectly reasonable. Not really that "significant" are they? I wonder do you have an online link to any of the covers? Darn! I almost always include a link to covers in my article edit comment. I think this time it fell through a crack since I added details here too... So, here's the Netherland's artwork and the US artwork with back cover and media labels. (Click the "more images" link to view the artwork. Depending on your browser, you might have to do some right click or ctrl-click stuff to get the page with the full res images instead of the smaller popup images.)

I really hate to say it but I've found a lot of errors on allmusic.com and this appears to be another one. I much prefer discogs.com (and a few others like 45cat.com for singles) as I can visually verify the information. (Even that's not always perfect, actually but that's another story.)

As far as being significant changes or not, I've run into people that aren't quite as easy going as you :) But, I do think the "Barabajagal" change could be contentious. The UK single release is titled "Barabajagal" (noting that Donovan is from Scotland) but the US single release is actually titled "Barabajagal (Love Is Hot)". To boot, the UK and US promo singles were titled "Goo Goo Barabajagal (Love Is Hot)".

I agree. This article is about the album so the album artwork is what should be referenced. But I've seen some users dispute some surprising things on this site. Hopefully, these changes will be accepted by the community.Wantnot (talk) 13:15, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
