Balut Island edit

I proposed that this article be renamed as Balut Island per WP:COMMONNAME because the current name is inaccurate. The common name for this island is just 'Balut' as attested by the websites Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology and Global Volcanism Program. I found no other books or websites that name the island as Balut Sarangani.

Balut Island and Sarangani Island are two separate islands, part of the Sanrangani Islands, located south of of the tip of Davao del Sur. Both islands are part of the municipality of Sarangani, Davao del Sur, but naming the island as Balut Sarangani is wrong and inaccurate. I read the history of this page and found that this was merged with Balut (volcano) which should have been a more proper name for this page. Because Balut has no recorded eruptions, I proposed that this page be renamed as 'Balut Island'. - Briarfallen (talk) 20:48, 2 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
