Personally this would be better served as "Baltic states in the Soviet era (1940–1941, 1944–1991)" as "rule" implies loss of sovereignty and a legitimate governing by the USSR. It also artificially bifurcates the continuing policy by the USSR of mass deportations and other acts of oppression taken against Baltic nationals of all ethnic backgrounds.
In Latvian the period is often referred to as "Padomju laiki," which directly translates into "Soviet era." PЄTЄRS J V ►TALK 21:40, 26 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
Actually, perhaps there is reason enough to include the most common Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian terms for the era. In Estonian it would be Nõukogude aeg ("Soviet time"). H2ppyme (talk) 14:40, 15 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Throughout the article there are unsourced inferences and analysis of the facts given, and where citations are present they're often too broad. It's also of note that of the 35 sources cited, 29 are different pages from a single book. More citations and a greater diversity of sources would be useful for the page.
