Talk:Baldomero Espartero

You state that the prince died in 1879 Further on, it is said that ". . . who eventually survived him, dying during 1878, without issue."

When correcting this error, you might consider the sentence concerning his wife is rather long and complicated, and might benefit from being spilt into several sentences e.g.

He was posted to the garrison town of Logroño in La Rioja, where on 13 September 1827 he married the daughter of a rich landowner.

She was Doña María Jacinta Martínez de Sicilia y Santa Cruz, born there on 16 August 1811, the daughter of Ezequiel Martínez de Sicilia y Ruíz de la Cámara (1786–1812) and wife María del Carmen Anacleta Santa Cruz y Oribe (1786–1816).

She eventually survived him, dying during 1878??, without issue.[1]

(You don’t have to say "orphaned" it is obvious from the various dates given. It gently hints that she was already rich in her own right and he was a fortune hunter. If that is so, you should say so and quote your source: otherwise don't imply such ignoble motives.)
