ARGUMENT AGAINST DELETION OF THIS PAGE: Avis Stearns was a prominent businesswoman, one of very few in her day, and authored a book on the early history of her family and their Mayflower connections that is WIDELY documented in libraries and on the internet. I'm very sorry if Ravendrop doesn't think that is "notable" enough. Perhaps if the book had been about "hot rods" or the Simpsons the outcome would be different? I myself happen to think that American history AND geneaological history is very important part of our past. Additionally, there are several other NOTABLE members of this family that I am eventually planning on adding and it would be a travesty if all the males were there, but the woman wasn't allowed.Nconwaymicelli (talk) 6:29, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
Note these books can still be purchased at Barnes and Noble - http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Genealogy-and-Memoirs-of-Charles-and-Nathaniel-Stearns-and-Their-Descendants/Avis-Mrs-Van-Wagenen/e/9781152257580 Nconwaymicelli (talk) 7:16, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
