Talk:Augusto, Michaela, and Lorenzo Odone

Confusion edit

They are not both deced. The way the article is written, it makes it appear both parents were born on the same day and died on the same day. Some entry needs to be made for Augusto, at least a birth year to indicate he is still living. That info was most likely lost in the merge.Lisapollison 08:18, 31 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Agreed, the way that the article was written was confusing. I've gone ahead and tweaked it a bit, though it's difficult because we don't seem to have Augusto's birthyear. Can anyone find a reference for it? --Elonka 20:25, 31 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

20th of January 2007 is the date of Dr. Hugo Moser's death. [1]—Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.252.1.96 (talk) 11:59, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Augusto a doctor? edit

Contradictions edit

I read that article on the "real life sequel" and it's full of contradictions. For one thing it said that Augusto died 8 days ago then says he is still alive in Fairfax. "who died eight days ago of pancreatic cancer, is Augusto Odone, father of the real-life Lorenzo." "Odone, now 83 and living in Fairfax". A clear contradiction. Biography? edit

This is really much more about Lorenzo and his parents' research than it is about Augusto. The article needs a full biography of Augusto -- like where he was born, occupation, stuff like that, and the same for Michaela. --Bluejay Young (talk) 03:57, 24 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Going home? edit

I read on CNN news [1] that now, after his son died, Augusto Odone will attend to his funeral in New York (where Lorenzo's ashes will be mixed with his mother's), then sell his home in Virginia, and return back to his native Italy. I cannot hold back my tears: What a hero! What exemplary life given all the circumstances. Lorenzo was lucky to have a father like him. Love is one thing, but to go to such an extraordinary length of care and ingenuity, it is truly amazing. He is an inspiration to us all.

Background edit

This needs a lot of work. I have added a statement from Hugo Moser's obit, from Augusto Odone, that specifically states that Hugo Moser was not skeptical of the Odone's research. This background is a re-hash of the inaccurate film, Lorenzo's Oil (film).Pustelnik (talk) 02:31, 7 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
