edit- This sentence feels a bit odd: "While strange, he felt like it was a product of chance."

- The second paragraph feels like it needs some tweaking, as it's introducing things to the reader while assuming the reader is already aware of them (interactions with other characters we haven't heard about, his character traits etc).
- Revised. I forgot to introduce Prince Canute.
Reception
edit- I believe the paper title should be italicized, but also make note it is a paper so people understand what's being referenced.
- Added italics for every publication.
