Copyright Violation edit

I removed a large section about national accreditation from this article. This content appears to be copyrighted text from the DETC website. WeisheitSuchen (talk) 15:07, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Information not correct. edit

Ashworth University is accredited by DETC, Asworth High School is accredited by SACS. Needs correction.--Mistro12 (talk) 22:25, 18 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

It actually did say that, I think, but it wasn't as clear before as it is with your revision. Starting with the accreditation of the university rather than the high school makes more sense. WeisheitSuchen (talk) 00:10, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I dont thiink thats an issue in this case--Super (talk) 08:17, 17 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Requested move edit

Ashworth UniversityAshworth College — The name of the school has changed from Ashworth University to Ashworth College. An Ashworth College page already exists, but it is blank and redirects to Ashworth University. Peachapple (talk) 22:49, 10 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Student Affiars edit

I think the student life is a little much, I have discussed this issue on the Univ Talk Page and as a member of the Student Affairs Project I think this info does not carry enough merit to be listed. I think it even has reference to a band member in there. There is also not references for the whole section, I will try to find some sources but I really think it needs to be removed. I don't feel it is notable to have. Also I think it might be important to note that Ashworth is not a ACE American Council on Education, with them not being a member there programs have not been review for credit transfer and will not transfer to any other school. ACE has deal worked out with it members to review courses for national and regional schools, anyone with ideas on this let me know. I will not make any edits till we all get together on this.--Super (talk) 15:59, 16 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

After reading this whole article it really needs to be worked on, it cites no out sides references. It mainly cites the schools website. --Super (talk) 16:26, 16 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have waited for a reply on this issue, none was made so I delete the info. If anyone has any questions or wants to work to edit this let me know!--Super (talk) 04:13, 21 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Detailed listing of degree programs edit

An editor recently added - in good faith - a detailed listing of degree programs. I reverted those edits as they are inappropriate for a general encyclopedia article (please see our content guidelines for college and university articles). Another editor reverted my edit, placing the material back into the article without an explanation or an edit summary. If you believe this material belongs and we should make an exception to the content guidelines for this one article, please help us understand by explaining your reasoning. Thanks! PCDI and JMHS edit

In Ashworth_College#History, it talks about the Professional Career Development Institute (PCDI) and James Madison High School (JMHS). Is a high school really owned by a college, or just affiliated with it? Are these schools contained within the umbrella of Ashworth College? I think it needs clarification. Straight from Ashworth College an it's sister schools. edit

I am new to wiki. It is quite unclear to me how editors are seeking reliable sources of information for wiki pages yet all of my edits were reverted last night bc it was deemed I have a relationship with the school and that's somehow a COI. Business relationship doesn't not equal spammy marketing content. Please help me help you make this page an effective resource. Believe you me, I have no interest in turning this into an advertisement. TY aedixon 18:43, 26 June 2018 (UTC)

You've been advised on your User Talk page to read our policy about conflicts of interest. I recommend that you do so; it has good advice and good explanations about why COIs are a concern. In the meantime, feel free to propose edits here in Talk so other editors can provide you with advice. ElKevbo (talk) 19:00, 26 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
I think you missed an important point in our conflict-of-interest guideline. The fact that you work for Ashworth College ([1], [2]) means that your edits are suspect, no matter how appropriate they might be. The article loses credibility merely by the fact that it has been edited significantly by an Ashworth employee. That's why you're so strongly encouraged to propose your edits here, no matter how reasonable they seem to you. If they're good, they will be implemented. No one is seeking to censor you or your employer. --Dr. Fleischman (talk) 19:48, 26 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Requesting edit of intro graf edit

Update intro paragraph
  • to correct true location (Norcross) per USPS
  • to remove reference to "Ashworth University" - can't find any sources online about that name change. I know it occurred briefly (less than a year) and was contested in court by AshFORD University so the name was changed back.
  • edit for cleaner phrasing (use "which" for non-restrictive clauses)
"Ashworth College is a for-profit online college based in Norcross, Georgia, United States, which offers degrees and career training programs."

--aedixon (talk) 16:43, 10 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Partly done Thanks for requesting changes here. I trimmed the paragraph for concision, and I believe this obviates at least your third bullet. Regarding the first two I agree. I couldn't find any reliable sources verifying that the organization used to go by the name Ashworth University. I did find this 2008 press release but it doesn't seem like enough to go on. --Dr. Fleischman (talk) 20:52, 10 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Requesting addition of healthcare school to infobox edit

I'd like to update the infobox to include the third subsidiary Madison School of Healthcare.

Sister Schools: James Madison High School, Madison School of Healthcare, PCDI Canada[1]

Location correction edit

The official location of Ashworth College is Norcross, Ga. Though it shares a ZIPcode with Peachtree Corners, all corporate communications use a Norcross address recognized by USPS.
