Done leaving no redirects behind and I caught the link in Arctic Environmental Protection Strategy. Removed notability maintenance tag edit
I removed the notability maintenance template re: Wikipedia's general notability guideline. The Arctic Council is a "is a high-level intergovernmental forum that addresses issues faced by the Arctic governments and the indigenous people of the Arctic." and the AMAC has been a crucial working group of the Council since it was created. A similar working group, the Protection of the Arctic Marine Environment Working Group has had its own Wikipedia page since 2010 and consistently uses citations by related organizations.
The Overview section lists some of AMAP's significant contributions.
- AMAP's monitoring and assessments have informed the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution (LRTAP), and the World Health Organization (WHO) on issues related to reduction of toxic and polluting chemical emissions.[1]
- The establishment of AEPS' AMAP was the "fundamental building block" for the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) agreement. [2]
