One Gaius or Caius Antonius is Marc Antony's uncle. It is not sure he was Hybrida. Maybe he was Nepos. Don't forget Pliny explains us in his Book n°viii that Hybrida means "blood mixed" or "partly wild". He gave as example Caius Antonius , consul with Cicero. But was it right ? List of consuls gave us just the name Caius Antonius. Then after, we found two men : Gaius Antonius Hybrida and Caius Antonius Nepos. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.36.162.3 (talk) 09:08, 27 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Famous Antons

edit

Unless someone comes up with a good reason pretty soon why we have a 'famous Antons' section on a page for the gens Antonius, I'm removing it. Hornplease 05:42, 29 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Anthony the Great

edit

Shouldn't Anthony the Great be mentioned here? His name is Antonius in Latin. --217.50.237.236 18:22, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

There's also Emperor Antonius Pius, who some sources just call Antonius. This really needs a disambig. -- Kendrick7talk 20:05, 12 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
