Proposed Deletion

edit

The cartoon itself is notable as a Looney Tunes cartoon, and its existence can be proven with the link that I have provided (its on Looney Tunes Golden Collection 3). Whether the article is well-written enough to stay is another matter, but probably shouldn't be deleted due to lack of verifiable sources. --Bugwit grunt / scribbles 15:42, 22 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for providing the source. I've got no problem with the removed proposed deletion notice, now the article has at least one reference. Sliggy 15:51, 22 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

End gag

edit

As mentioned in the article, the original short ends with the cat shooting himself in the head. This gag was done a year earlier in the Merrie Melodies adaptation of Dr. Seuss's Horton Hatches the Egg. It's on at least two DVD collections of Seuss cartoons, but the only link I found to the full video online also has that gag removed. It's my understanding (although further research is needed) that there are several others with this same gag. Was this a joke in the 40s that I'm too young to get? "Food Around the Corner"

edit

Someone else may be able to verify this, but the tune of "Food Around the Corner" is very similar to that of the "Tante Anna Polka". TheBaron0530 (talk) 16:03, 17 August 2015 (UTC)theBaron0530Reply
