Some spelling check is needed. It is recommended to use [Hiswelókë's Sindarin dictionary|http://www.jrrvf.com/hisweloke/sindar/online/sindar/dict-sd-en.html].

Who wrote the lyrics?Edit

Did Enya actually write the (English) lyrics to Aniron? Or just the melody? I know that Phillipa Boyens wrote a lot of the lyrics to the sung pieces used in the film trilogy. In any case, it should definitely be noted that David Salo did the translation into Sindarin. Genedecanter (talk) 11:50, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

My information which I can't cite at the moment but I'm pretty rigorous about validity of my information: Lyrics by Roma Ryan Music composed and performed by Enya Sindarin translation by Roma Ryan (and David Salo?)

The question mark is mine. I think I couldn't rule out that Salo had not been involved but I had no verification that he had.

The Annotated Score to the Fellowship of the Ring says: ANÍRON (THEME FOR ARAGORN AND ARWEN) Sindarin Lyrics by Roma Ryan (the Annotated Score was a free downloadable pdf made available in association with the Complete Recordings of the FOTR. The link for the download has recently gone dead)

Enya's site does not have the lyrics for soundtrack version of Aniron but it has an alternate version (available on the recording, "The Best of Enya") that says: Aniron - Lyrics by Roma Ryan http://www.enya.com/lyrics_bsides.php#2

The FOTR-OST says: Aniron - Lyrics by Roma Ryan AMagpie (talk) 03:20, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

And here's the annotated score which says this on page 15: "Several passages directly quote the author’s writing, though the majority of the verses are original, scribed by Philippa Boyens, Fran Walsh, David Salo and, for Enya’s work, Roma Ryan." And page 18 confirms that R. Ryan wrote the Sindarin lyrics. Salo seems to have been involved in all other lyrics where translation was needed. De728631 (talk) 16:39, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

I would really like to hear the 4-verse version of this song, because I have not been able to find it. On the wiki page it says "Alternate lyrics from the The Very Best of Enya (2009) version of the song", however this is false. The lyrics from the 2009 Enya album are only the first two verses, with the last sentence from the second verse repeated twice.
