I'm really not an expert on this, but I found this site: http://www.aldokkan.com/egypt/amenmesse.htm claiming that it's likely that the Biblical Moses was actually derived by Amenmesse. Is this just some wild conspiracy theory or are there some good reasons to think so? Misattributed Bust of Seti II edit
The bust associated with this article is incorrectly attributed to Amenmesse, when the inscription on the back of it says it was made for Seti II. According to the Metropolitan Museum of Art which owns the piece shown, "This elegant head originally belonged with the body of a statue that still stands in the great Hypostyle Hall of the Temple of Amun at Karnak whose inscriptions show that the statue had been carved for Seti II." Memnon Identification edit
With the near name connection, plus the timeframe, plus the divided government, plus the Nubian connection, it is reasonable to link this Pharaoh with the "Ethiopian King" Memnon from the Trojan War. 76.137.39.158 (talk) 14:59, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
