There's a request for citations on her "Personal Life" section. That section is almost quoted verbatim from her personal website. Does that count as a suitable reference? http://www.allisonscagliotti.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=46&Itemid=60 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 147.160.136.10 (talk) 12:43, 16 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Why does she have two different birthdays?

On Drake and Josh She was Josh boyfriend from Season 2 to 3. After the Science Fair Josh thought Mindy said "I Love you " to him. Then she Gave Him the Weekend to think. After the Fair the Broke-Up.

Anyone got something about why she is Scagliotti-Smith? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.108.110.48 (talk) 09:26, 28 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I am also curious about the hyphenated last name? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.211.71.137 (talk) 00:43, 10 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Childhood Section

edit

The Childhood section of the article is completely unsourced and I am removing it and placing it below. If anyone can source any of the information, feel free to put it back in the article.

Allison Scagliotti-Smith was born in Monterey, California, and was raised by her two parents. At age seven, Allison moved to Mandeville, Louisiana, where she later enrolled in the local elementary school, Pontchartrain Elementary School. There, she joined the school's Drama Club, and quickly became an established actress amongst her peers, getting most of the lead roles in school plays and other local performances

In 2001, during a school drama performance at a local Barnes & Noble bookstore, Myrna Lieberman of the Talent Managers Association approached Allison's parents and talked of her representation. The Scagliotti family quickly moved back to their home town in California, where her career as a child actress quickly began. She starred in commercials for various companies, and received a few minor, one-time roles on a few television programs. In 2002, she played a role of Molly Potts in 'America's Most Terrible Things' as her first movie appearance.

Allison Scagliotti-Smith??

edit

I've removed all references in the article (except for interwiki links, see below) to the name "Allison Scagliotti-Smith". I could not find any reference for the "Smith" name in any source that would appear to be reliable. A Google search for "Allison Scagliotti-Smith" found almost 7,000 hits, but most of the ones I checked smelled like they probably came from an earlier version of this Wikipedia article (see WP:CIRCULAR), so they don't count. If anyone can find a truly reliable source for this hyphenated name, then by all means put it back in (with the source properly cited, of course). As for the use of this name in a half-dozen links to other languages' Wikipedias, I'm not totally sure what to do; I imagine most/all of these may again have been based on the earliest versions of this page (which started out with the hyphenated name), and I don't want to be seen as trying to make a WP:POINT, but if this name is unsourceable (or simply wrong), I'm inclined to remove the interwiki links and try to inform people working on the various other sites. I've commented out the currently existing six interwiki links (de, es, fr, it, nl, pt) referencing pages with the "Allison Scagliotti-Smith" name, which (see above) appears not to have any basis in verifiable fact. I'm hoping that commenting out these links (rather than deleting them) may possibly deter bots from simply adding them back. I'll attempt to inform editors on these other sites regarding the problem. Based on her IMDB page the confusion seems to stem from the fact that she was credited as Scagliotti-Smith early in her career. That Bio portion doesn't mention her parents names so I assume the hyphen came from her parents. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1270095/ I don't know if that's good enough for a reference though it is rather easily verifiable so I'll just leave this here and not alter the article page. - Ramdomwolf 130.63.255.133 (talk) 14:52, 9 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
Note that IMDB is not a reliable source for personal info in WP:BLPs (see WP:RS/IMDB). Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 15:12, 9 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I see you guys have problems with the "Scagliotti-Smith" name. But why do you remove the interwiki-links? Whatever Name is "the right one", the articls in the other wikis are about the same person...
BTW: The german de:Allison Scagliotti was reworked, with sources. -- SJPaine (talk) 23:16, 21 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

I've brought this issue to the attention of Jan Dudík on the Czech Wikipedia. Jan appears to be an expert on the interwiki stuff, and I believe it would be reasonable for us to go along with whatever he suggests. Richwales (talk) 22:43, 23 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Scagliotti is her mother's maiden name. Perhaps Smith is her father's surname. Smith is indeed her father's surname. (Source: She refers to her father as "Dr. Smith" at the end of the 2/27/17 episode (episode number 201) of the podcast "Soup Weather.")
