Requested move 18 January 2023
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
Moved by nom. Seems uncontroversial and well-supported. Thanks and kudos to editors for your input; everyone stay healthy! P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'r there 10:49, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul → Ali Baba (Indian TV series) - Chapter 1 name was "Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul" but Chapter 2 name is "Ali Baba: Ek Andaaz Andekha" Yuugone (talk) 05:55, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
As part of it do move List of Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul episodes → List of Ali Baba (Indian TV series) episodes. Thanks for your consideration. --C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 04:16, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- Support: I agree with the nominator and the reason provided above. See the below discussion for more clarity. Thanks C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 09:28, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- Support: Per nom. As according to Monday 16 January 2023 it started a new season titled Ali Baba: Ek Andaaz Andekha Chapter 2 with the new lead actor Abhishek Nigam post previous season Ali Baba: Daastaan-e-Kaabul Chapter 1 ended abruptly due to lead actress Tunisha's death and lead actor Sheezan's controversy. So it would be better to name it as Ali Baba (Indian TV series) where we can separately mention plot and cast of both seasons. Pri2000(talk) 15:46, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
- Support: Absolutely agreeing with the reason given by the nominator. ManaliJain (talk) 13:35, 20 January 2023 (UTC)

Move
editHello @Yuugone, I hope you're doing well. I came across that you requested that the page should be moved for the reason mentioned above. I'm glad that you posted the request. I did a quick check and found that no tv series or web series article based on Ali Baba is on wikipedia yet (unless I missed something). So I believe that moving the page based on year 2022 is not necessary. We can come along with Ali Baba (TV series) or Ali Baba (Indian TV series). Hope to get a response soon. Thanks for your consideration C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 07:08, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- @C1K98V In that case, let's go with Ali Baba (Indian TV series). Yuugone (talk) 08:54, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Yuugone sure, let go ahead then with Ali Baba (Indian TV series). Thanks for the quick response. C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 08:58, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Yuugone, kindly update above new article title from 2022 to Indian as discussed yesterday. Thanks C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 13:53, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
- Hello @Yuugone, kindly hold on you're not supposed to move the article on your own as you have nominated the article and participated in the discussion. The article was supposed to be moved by an page mover or admins once the dicussion is over. Thanks C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 05:41, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- @C1K98V My bad, I didn't know. So should I undo the move now? Yuugone (talk) 05:58, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Yuugone WP:AGF I agree you did the correct thing, we all have that technical ablity to do so. And if you see the above discussion so far it has unanimous support, but per process the move should've been done after the discussion is closed. So let us wait for few more days, and wait for the discussion to be closed. Thanks C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 06:04, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- To editor Yuugone: it's true that the usual result is as editor C1K98V has described, so normally I would have reverted the page moves to let the discussion evolve. In this case your request was treated as more of an uncontroversial technical request since it was well-supported. If no one challenges the page moves, then article improvements have taken place. Happy New Year to both of you! P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'r there 11:32, 21 January 2023 (UTC)

Move
editHii @Spinixster, I hope you're doing well. Would you like to explain the reason behind the move. I assume you have gone through the above discussion before you did the page move action. Hope to get a positive response soon. Thanks C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 08:02, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
- @C1K98V I didn't think that an "Indian" disambiguation would be necessary, as there are no other articles with the name, as I said in my edit summary. If there is going to be another article about a TV series named Ali Baba, then the disambiguation would be okay. Spinixster (chat!) 08:05, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Spinixster In good faith, we all have the technical abilities to move the article, but as the page was previously moved after a discussion, don't you feel you should have followed the same process. Okay I agree disambiguation is not that necessary. Was there any other issues with spelling or naming convention (apart from Indian) which you found?. Today you did the move action, tomorrow might be someone else doing the same. Thanks C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 08:22, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
