Alf Engers was for one season a member of the Tooting Bicycle club brought in and sponsored by the Bird Brothers (who might have been working for the Clive Stuart bike shops at the time). He raced for Tooting in the Paddington track league. I think the year was probably about 1964. Terry Wassall. t.wassall@leeds.ac.uk
