Re Later Career
editI have not found him mentioned in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission database which strongly suggests he may have left the RAF during the war (the CWGC goalpost for commemoration is either die while serving or to die of illness etc brought on by and during service). A little more information if published sources could be found would be welcome to present a fuller picture, for example obituaries.Cloptonson (talk) 11:33, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
- Once again, found answer to my own question. The Southampton players who's who source much of this article is cited to explains he was compassionately discharged from the service in 1940 due to the terminal illness of his wife, so his release was unrelated to the illness from which he died.Cloptonson (talk) 16:10, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
