Fair use rationale for Image:Aldonova.jpg

edit

Image:Aldonova.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 19:03, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Are you kidding me or what?

"he continued to be one of the most critically acclaimed guitarists of the era."

Please.... while a competent guitarist he was hardly "critically acclaimed". While he wrote some catchy melodies his guitar playing prowess could be considered nothing out of the ordinary. I'm glad the author of the article likes Aldo but it's clear s/he doesn't play a guitar.

While not considered to be a "guitar god" Aldo Nova is exceptionally innovative, talented at composition, jazz piano and guitar, and is very commercially minded. A pioneer, his style and drive was a big push for the genre and helped open commercial radio to the "hair bands" of the 80's. Much of his work goes unnoticed (and sometimes uncredited). He considers himself to be a hard working musician, nothing more. He has performed in recording sessions for B.O.C. Micheal Bolton, and Lita Ford, wrote commercial jingles, and played George Harrison for a 3 year stint with "Beatlemania". He is credited with Bon Jovi's debut (Runaway, by the "all star review" 1982) and Jon Bon Jovi's "solo" works "Blaze of Glory" (That is Aldo Nova, and NOT Ritchie Sambora playing guitar on every track except "You Really Got Me Now"...and Jeff Beck performing most of the solos for the recording sessions) His 1985 release bears his nickname "Twitch" ...his fellow musicians say he never stops moving. His self titled debut had hits (of varying degrees) with "Fantasy", "Foolin' Yourself", "It's Too Late", "Hot Love", plus "Ball and Chain", all of which made playlists across Canada and the USA. A success that he was never able to duplicate. 24.235.198.91 (talk) 01:15, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

The article does not state that Nova lives in Ireland. Thus I have removed this category. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Popefelix (talkcontribs) 19:02, 19 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
