Alleged Bias

edit

Despite its claim that it presents factual information, it has been suggested that Al Jazeera conceals a hidden conservative bias. Its news stories do not seem to present progressive ideas in a favorable light. Old-fashioned clerics and holy men are shown as being the equivalent of heroes and brave warriors. The ancient method of slaying infidels with crude scimitars is an example of this deep reactionary traditionalism. In order for it to be more fair and balanced, Al Jazeera has been encouraged to broadcast positive stories about younger, less inhibited Middle Easterners.Lestrade 03:45, 28 November 2006 (UTC)LestradeReply

Al Jazeera MobasherAl Jazeera Mubasher — Looks like Al Jazeera itself prefers "Mubasher" spelling, as in its "official" YouTube channel. ( http://www.youtube.com/user/aljazeeramubasher ) JSH-alive talkcontmail 03:53, 2 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
