Talk:Al-Qabisi

This link implies that the al-Qabîsî in his name means "of Qabisa", Qabisa being a town (or a former town, or the former name of a current town) in Iraq near Mosul or Samarra. Alexander 007 21:30, 19 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

The physician David Eugene Smith sourced ([1]) the connection between Greek-Alexandrian iatromathecians and the more ancient superstitious cult of Herms Trismegistud. Apart from that, the translation of Johannes Hispalensis and the comment of John of Saxony was unsourced and now it is so. Regards.
