The last version of this article ended with the following paragraph: "But they were subsequently rearrested on charges of playing a role in the destruction of a natural gas pipeline, near the Volga River, in January 2005.[1] After their conviction they were sentenced to between 11 and 15 years imprisonment.

[edit] References ^ a b Former Gitmo prisoners arrested in Russia, rights group says, The Jurist, August 31, 2005 "

The reference given says nothing of the kind, and I have found no such information elsewhere on the net either. In fact, Vakhitov was clearly living in Moscow, and not in custody, in March 2006. I have therefore deleted the information. I'd just like to know who makes such stuff up?

Someone is going around changing every use of Farsi to Persian.

They are doing so without regard to whether "Farsi" is a direct quote or paraphrase of the source documents.

They are doing so without regard to whether "Farsi" is followed by [sic].

When I know it is a direct quote or paraphrase I am changing it back. Geo Swan (talk) 21:54, 23 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
