change to Redirect

Ah kin means 'priest', not 'sun deity', therefore see Maya priesthood. The sun deity already has an extensive and far better article with reliable references, see Kinich Ahau.77.162.130.139 (talk) 21:21, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

This does not at all seem clear! Apart from the book quoted by the previous editor (and to which I do not have access), I found a couple of internet pages, mentioning a lot of different names for the sun deity, namely Godchecker and River Styx, and both of them name Ah Kin or Ah-Kin as one of the various name forms. I do not find these sources in themselves extremely reliable; but they and various books mentioned by people on various wikipedias seem to mention similar name variants. Thus, I'm rather inclined to believe that Ah Kin inter alia was used as one name of the sun god; and I do not disbelieve the god text variant of this article.

I'd suggest that that text be merged with Kinich Ahau, and that An Kin either be made to a redirect to Kinich Ahau, or to a disambiguation page. JoergenB (talk) 20:57, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
