Buckminsterfullerene edit

I removed the reference to buckminsterfullerene. Stating that the telstar ball used the fullerene c60 chemical structure for it's design is questionable since fullerenes were only discovered and named 15 years after adidas created the telstar football. If someone thinks there should be a reference to fullerene, I suggest a geometry section be added to this article (although I don't really think this is necessary, since there's already a reference to the truncated icosahedron article). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ζεύς (talkcontribs) 15:35, 2 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

Qualify first edit

It should be made clear that Telstar was merely the first FIFA World Cup ball with the black-and-white design. Other competitions had used such designs since the 50s. jnestorius(talk) 18:04, 17 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Shape of Telstar 18 edit

Since the ball consists of 6 glued panels, as is written on its own wiki page, it is technically a cube and different from the original Telstar, more similar to the Brazuca, really. I.e., the last paragraph is erroneous, the patches are not, where pentagons would be, but are along the edges of an octahedron. Not that anybody cares, I guess.
