Mid-sized? I guess so... but I just drove behind one earlier today, felt like I was behind one of these. :)

Hardly, driven one for six years and it is sweet in the extreme ;') Jmdeur (talk) 00:00, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Price Vs Value edit

Extremely over priced for what it has to offer. Yes the 3rd row seat is there, but its impractical. You cant seat passengers with legs in there. Got to keep your feet on an angle from getting your towes crunched. Its amazing how Honda can justify and sell another Honda (with better finish) and demand $20,000 more. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 198.91.10.251 (talk) 13:58, 16 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

--- Yeah, the Pilot is a much better value if you want a 3rd row SUV, it's been rated as the top pick for 3rd row SUV's for a while now in Consumer Reports.

Six years and have used that third row exactly once - looked at the Pilot and made the right choice. You get what you pay for... Jmdeur (talk) 00:02, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Picture Update edit

I updated the main picture to the 2008 Acura MDX, which will be replacing the 2001 Model. If anyone doesn't like this then I will change it back. 75.202.210.175 (talk) 21:35, 21 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Nearly ever Acura MDX owner will experience transmissions failure. http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h143/SeanNewman/MDX.jpg reliability —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tkhokhar (talkcontribs) 03:45, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sources for Sales? edit

I'm wondering..... does anyone have sources of where the sales number came from? if there is, there should be a reference made visible somewhere in that section. --Steven (talk) 01:31, 8 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

UPDATE - I've added the need onto the article. If no one can bring up reasonable sources in the next ... week, I'm removing the section. --Steven (talk) 01:15, 11 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Removed. Discuss below before reversion. --Steven (talk) 21:34, 19 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Torque Converter Problems edit

NHTA website reveals numerous complaints about "judder" (Acura's TSB terminology) noises coming from the transmission at speeds of 25-45 MPH (on first generation models). These are the precursor to the TC (Torque Converter) going bad. This also may lead the replacement of the entire transmission. There have been complaints that this is a safety issue as the vehicle may loose power unexpectedly.[1]

False Information edit

Someone has inserted some false information at the bottom of the paragraph beside the information box. Please remove it. It looks unreal. Thanks! --japanesevehicles100 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 22:25, 13 January 2012 (UTC).Reply

Body Style edit

I have provided a source for body style from Consumer Reports for body style. Bahooka made this claim "CR does not differentiate between crossovers and SUVs (they are all classified as SUVs to them), other sources do. Crossovers have features of a sport utility vehicle". I had already disproved this [1] on the Honda Pilot page. Cleanupmdx (talk) 04:15, 23 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proper SUV edit

SO Acura states it is built on a light truck frame and themselves calls it an SUV. SO I don't get why you think it is a crossover @Andra Febrian: I am talking to you!!! 2007DodgeRam (talk) 17:19, 2 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

It's a crossover by nearly everyone's definition. Also, it is not built on a frame at all, it's a monocoque.  Mr.choppers | ✎  17:32, 2 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
I don't get why you think it is a real SUV either. Manufacturers can call their vehicles whatever they want, and the "light truck frame" that Honda stated is still a car-based one, since it is a monocoque. Andra Febrian (talk) 17:39, 2 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
