birthplace claim edit

It's important to support the assertion that this university location is the birthplace of studio pottery. It may be an arguable claim, worth keeping in the article, but it should best be presented as an assertion in a direct quote from a source. Is a source available?

Relatedly, I see that the wikipedia article Studio pottery does not mention Aberystwyth University. It does mention the Leach potter guy though. Perhaps some appropriate, supported mention of Aberystwyth University could be added to that article. doncram (talk) 19:24, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I started this article as a stub at "Aberystwyth University Collection". Probably it should be renamed/moved to something like ""Aberystwyth University Ceramics Collection and Archive" or something official. Comments please! doncram (talk) 19:26, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
