Which language or languages did it describe? --Ptcamn 12:17, 7 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I don't know. It appears that Moore thought there was only one Aboriginal language. User talk:Hesperian 00:02, 8 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Confusingly, the first catholic bishop of Perth, John Brady (bishop) wrote two similarly titled tomes:

  • A descriptive vocabulary of the native language of W. Australia (De Propaganda Fide, Rome. 1845) [1]; and
  • A descriptive vocabulary of the West Australian Aboriginal language (published posthumously in Perth, 1899)

I've moved it to its full title. But left the shorter title as a redirect for now. Feel free to convert it into a disambig if you want. Hesperian 00:21, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
