there are still 5 Alco«s in running condition here in portugal. Namely: - 1501 is assigned to the national railway museum - 1502 1507 1511 and 1512 are now the propriety of some infraestructure contractors (along with alco 1525 (a RSC3)) Sotavento (talk) 01:02, 25 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Turbocharger Redesign edit

Some delay to the beginning of RSC-2 production was experienced by Alco-GE. This was because the turbocharger manifold had to be redesigned for a lower mounting. The lower mounting was necessary to enable a 12V-244 engine to fit under the hood of the proposed new roadswitchers. This new turbocharger mounting was tested and complete by the Summer of 1946. Found another edit

It took me a while to identify it, but I found an RSC-2 at Danbury Railway Museum (right here). It was an ex-Northern Central Railway train, as well as New Hope and Ivyland Railroad, Florida Power & Light and Seaboard Air Line Railroad train. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 04:25, 21 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

 
It's between the Metro-North, and Pre-McGinnis New Haven ALCOs. I can't read the writing in front, though.

Preserved Units as of current are:
VLIX 1513 at Danbury Railway Museum[1] wich is Former SAL 1513
ADIX 25, formerly SAL 1531 was at Ramsen NY, now under private ownership in Ohio.
Milwaukee Road 988 (see main article for sources, if not there, revisions)
it is unknown if B&FJ 5 exists
