Why is there no mention of the fact that the mayor of NYC at the time launched a full investigation into the city's 911 system after hearing this song and asking if it was true?! Once he saw the report on the investigation he ordered a full overhaul of the 911 system! After that cities across the nation and around the world used NYC as an example for overhauling their own 911 systems! MTV News covered the whole thing as it developed!
