  • "in Cheshire and" which is in which country?
  • "the late part of the" latter?
  • "Territorial Army" surely a link for this.
  • "the remaining 'Volunteer Regiments'," remaining from what/when?
  • "new TA battalions" expand to Territorial Army here, link, and then add (TA) after.
  • Are these sub-divisions of the British Army? I don't see that mentioned. Probably needs to go in the lead as well, for context.
  • "As part of the battalion's NATO" link NATO and this sentence is unreferenced.
  • "platoon in Macclesfield, while Gaza" Macclesfield is overlinked.
  • " its mortar platoon" link mortar appropriately.
  • "in Stockport (formed " overlinked, as are all locations following in those bullet points.
  • "Platoon in Stockport. At the same time, Gaza Company was redesignated as D (Cheshire) Company based in Crewe, with its GPMG (SF) Platoon in Northwich.[" all locations overlinked.
  • "the King's and Cheshire Regiment was broken" overlinked.
  • "Warrington and Stockport,[8] and" both overlinked.
  • Crewe, Cheshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Ellesmere Port, Stockport, Cheshire (again), Peninsula Barracks, and Warrington all overlinked.
  • Ref titles, spaced hyphens should be spaced en-dashes.
  • Year rang in ref 6 title should be unspaced en-dash.
  • Retrieval dates should be in the same format, i.e. all YYYY-MM-DD or DD MMM YYYY.
  • Isn't british-army-units1945on.co.uk. just British Army as a publisher?
  • "1660-1978" en-dash.

That's all I have on a first read. The Rambling Man (Keep wearing the mask...) 18:09, 1 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ungrammatical sentence (section Formation) edit

In this Good Article this sentence reads without making sense to me - I suspect a misspelt word somewhere - could someone clarify this?

The former regiments were split, with their companies distributing form new TA battalions being formed in the regular infantry regiments. Cloptonson (talk) 17:31, 18 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
