The drone industry moves quickly and has been subject to both the boom and bust cycles which many new tech ventures experience. 3D Robotics, a small supplier to the DIY and vertical markets, also desired to ride the current "drone boom" and enter the consumer electronics end of the business. This entailed investments of venture capital and the design and production of 3 new models, none of which were well accepted in the marketplace. As a result, 3D Robotics is now in the process of downsizing and attempting to survive these trying times. An article about these changes is at this footnote ^[1]

Due to the speed of these events, the 3D Robotics Wikipedia page is likely to not properly represent the current state of the company. Those seeking such information should use search engines and other means to find current information.
