– "WNBA" is a proper name but the "playoffs" is more of a generic term, similar to the naming conventions of "NBA playoffs" and "NFL playoffs". In addition, the main article is named "WNBA playoffs", not "WNBA Playoffs". MarcusAbacus (talk) 01:21, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

only words and phrases that are consistently capitalized in a substantial majority of independent, reliable sources are capitalized in Wikipedia.
No difference in meaning to readers seeing "WNBA playoffs" vs, "WNBA Playoffs", unlike actual proper nouns such as Super Bowl (vs "super bowl").—Bagumba (talk) 07:28, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
