Forgive me if I'm missing something, but they don't appear to be the full results – I can only see the totals for the parties that won seats. Number 57 19:05, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Percents edit

Percents here are counted as divided into 3221908 - number of all voters who used their vote. @Number 57:, as I remember you watch over all results tables and rectify percents to be counted based on number of valid votes. Will we change the percents here? Olek Bokhan (talk) 20:51, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Olek Bokhan: I think we should do. Cheers, Number 57 21:06, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Olek Bokhan and Number 57: I originally retrieved those percentages from official results by municipality. Looks like they calculated them based on total number of votes instead of number of valid votes. Nightfall87 (talk) 21:36, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Nightfall87: You are absolutely right. The RIK counted exactly that way. This is practiced in some countries, Serbia is among them. On this site in all election articles the other principle is used: always only valid votes are taken into account. Olek Bokhan (talk) 22:04, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Olek Bokhan: is there any page where these conventions or best practices for elections are listed? I quickly browsed through WikiProject Elections and Referendums but failed to find any. Tbh for me it makes more sense to use data from official results instead of calculating them ourselfs. Nightfall87 (talk) 22:17, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

While IP's tone isn't acceptable here, I do agree with the inclusion of percentages of all votes, considering the electoral law explicitly calculate them this way, with a threshold to obtain seat of 3 % of all votes, including blank and invalid ones (by the way, we're missing 3,145 sort of invalid votes here in the table : those of voters who took a ballot but for some reason left before casting one. The commission also included them it seem.) Anyways, it wouldn't be the first time we calculate this way. The first round of the croatian presidential election earlier this year was done like that, as candidates need 50 % of all votes as well to win in the first round. Cordially. --Aréat (talk) 01:58, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

I think that all results should be counted in the way the country′s electoral commision do. So, if in Serbia commision counted invalid votes, than invalid votes should be included in electoral full results without doubt. Invalid votes in all elections in Serbia are included in final %. --Nikgudz 13:55, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
