I'm at a loss to understand why Mayoral candidates here are listed with political party labels, considering that the California constitution (Article II Section 6) specifically prohibits the use of political party labels, or political party participation, in all of the state's municipal elections. The page concedes this with the line "Note: Municipal elections in California are officially nonpartisan", yet the same page slaps on labels they "would have run with" given the option. It doesn't seem that presuming what "would have" happened is consistent with the factual history of what did happen, and is misleading. 64.188.188.204 (talk) 13:58, 17 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
