Lead
  • 52 laps is in the infobox and lead, but not the body of the article.
Background
  • Why is "option" in quotation marks?
  • "wets" is a bit jargony
  • The drag reduction system (DRS) had two activation zones for the race — What's the DRS?
  • saw no reason to guide him after his recent form — Not quite sure what this means.
  • What's a race meeting?
Practice
  • The left-hand side of Bottas' engine cover loosened with five minutes to go because of a localised explosion that tore through the car's bodywork. — Might want to reverse this sentence, as it sounds like the explosion was more significant than a loosened engine cover.
  • for recovery — Meaning for someone to tow his car?
  • Charlie Whiting adopted a "zero tolerance policy" and cautioned drivers not to run wide leaving Copse and Club turns — Why?
  • Sutil avoided doing the same as he got out of a gravel trap. — He almost crashed as he left the trap, or he lost control and almost crashed, but ended up in the trap instead?
Qualifying
  • eliminating cars that finished 17th or below — I didn't realize until the second paragraph that they weren't eliminated form the race, but rather, simple stopped from vying for a better grid position.
  • made an error at Aintree corner — What was the error?
    • Button ran wide
  • the first two sectors — What are sectors?
  • What does it mean to lose tire temperature?
  • Pace issues — Does this just mean they were slow?
  • Out of curiosity, what generally causes stewards to grant exceptions to the 107% rule?
    • A driver who was judged to have lapped within 107 per cent of the fastest driver during free practice or whether there was a dramatic change in the weather during qualifying MWright96 (talk) 08:30, 10 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Pastor Maldonado was excluded from the results for violating the rules by not having enough fuel to return to the pit lane, and he was moved to the back of the grid. — But the article says nothing about pit lane; it says his violation was not having enough fuel for analysis.
  • Esteban Gutiérrez was given a ten-place grid penalty for at unsafe release at the previous round and a five-place grid penalty for unscheduled gearbox change. — The ten-place penalty isn't mentioned in the article. Also, do you mean "an unsafe release"?

Race

  • Both Red Bulls switched to the hard-compound tyres and Alonso decided to run on the softer compounds — When? Were they allowed to pit during the stoppage? Or was it after they restarted?
  • to improve the possibility of making a solitary pit stop. — What does this mean?
  • DRS was enabled on lap six. — Maybe this will be clear when DRS is clarified above, but who enabled it/what did enabling it do?
    • Have mentioned what DRS is in the background section MWright96 (talk) 08:30, 10 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • but went into the Lotus' left-hand side — Who went?
    • Clarified MWright96 (talk) 08:30, 10 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
      • It's still confusing, because there are three people mentioned: "Gutiérrez attempted to pass Maldonado, who sought to overtake Bianchi, but the former hit the Lotus' left-hand side." The "former" could be either Gutiérrez or Maldonado. Can you just rephrase to "Gutiérrez hit the Lotus'" or "Maldonado hit the Lotus'"?
      • Nevermind, looked at source and clarified.
  • It released the faster Bottas — What released Bottas?
  • an identical move of his pass to the outside — Not sure what this means.
  • who was delayed by 1.7 seconds — Meaning his pit stop took 1.7 seconds longer than average, or something else
  • Vettel passed Magnussen through Brooklands the entry to Luffield corner — Not sure what this means.
  • With the top two positions settled — Why were they settled?
  • Bottas made his second pit stop on lap 42 — lap 32?
  • Bottas glimpsed space to pass Vettel for second — Looks like second place wasn't settled after all.
  • Alonso passed Vettel around the outside at Copse corner ... That prompted Vettel to use DRS; ... Alonso was faster through the straight and Woodcote turn to pass the defensive Vettel — Alonso passed Vettel twice?
  • the same manoeuvre — What one?
  • Maldonado's exhaust failed on the 51st lap — The chart below says lap 49.
    • The chart states how many laps a driver had completed and the abbr template is used at the top of the table to clarify this
      • If his exhaust failed on lap 51, hadn't he at least completed lap 50?
      • After looking at the source, it looks like his exhaust failed on lap 50, not 51: "Lap 50 It's comfortable for Hamilton out in front. No issue with his car today, well with two laps to go. Vettel speaks to his Red Bull, "I can smell burning". He's right. Maldonado's car is smoking. He pulls up and that's heartbreaking for the Lotus driver."
        • No it was lap 51. I've watched a copy of the race and used another source to back up the claim. MWright96 (talk) 06:15, 12 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
        • Why is he credited with 49, rather than 50, laps completed? --Usernameunique (talk) 20:55, 12 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
          • He was lapped by the race winner. MWright96 (talk) 04:43, 13 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
            • I think I understand now. So you're measuring laps by the lap the current leader was on? So for example, if someone was 25 laps in and crashed, but the leader at that point was on lap 50, you would say the crash occurred on lap 50? --Usernameunique (talk) 04:53, 13 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • the 27th of his career to equal three-time World Champion Jackie Stewart's total of race wins. — Where did this rank all time?
  • Ricciardo was third. — How far back of Bottas?
  • Hülkenberg held off Kvyat to take eighth and Vergne was tenth. — What about ninth?
Post-race
}
  • the circuit's in-season test — What's this?
  • Whiting responded to Lauda by noting visor protection was enhanced following Massa's 2009 Hungarian Grand Prix injury from being struck by a spring. — How is that a response to a claim that they took too long to fix a barrier?
  • suspected illegal manoeuvres — Such as?
