Knockout Bracket after Ferrer/Wawrinka Match edit
Only Djokovics position in the bracket is set. In Group A, if Berdych beats Nadal in straight sets, Berdych wins the group, Berdych second, Wawrinka third. If Berdych wins 2 sets to 1, the final standings are Nadal-Berdych-Wawrinka. Nadal win - Nadal-Wawrinka-Berdych. This was confirmed in the BBC broadcast after the match was completed. - 1) If three players are tied, they are separated by %sets won; if all 3 are still tied, they are separated by %games won; if all 3 are still tied, they are separated by ATP ranking.
- 2) However, if after applying %sets won, 1 player has a better record, and the other 2 still tied, then the player with the better record is ranked the highest, and the remaining 2 are separated by their head-to-head record. Same also applies if one player has a worse record, and 2 are tied.
- 3) The above point also applies to %games, should %sets not give any separation.
- Section IV 4.01 D 3) of the 2013 ATP rulebook gives some tie breaking examples to various scenarios.
