Sad article. edit

This article (and others) is just sad (GVnayR (talk · contribs) "work"). The Sports section doesn't mention the J-League. Not to mention other IMPORTANT things... that are missing. Waste of time... --92.250.38.24 (talk) 12:41, 28 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

I believe that the J-League is like the Major League Soccer of the Japanese professional football (soccer) world. In fact, the only notable soccer (football) leagues in the world are the Barclays Premier League, the Bundesliga and the Italian Serie A Football League. Besides, Japanese baseball and Sumo wrestling are more important to Japanese sports history. GVnayR (talk) 03:11, 6 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

You forgor the Spanish League, your beliefs leave much to be desired. --46.50.36.24 (talk) 03:59, 6 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

This article is written awfully. The section on games and game consoles and manga is longer than any other section of the article, and the whole article makes dozens of statements without citing any of them. It may be worth deleting the entire page rather than spread the disinformation and poor writing quality to unsuspecting people who don't know any better. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.137.111.224 (talk) 08:14, 2 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Great Hanshin Earthquake? edit

This article is somewhat depressing and lacks a lot of information about this time period in Japan. One thing I noticed quickly is the absence of any discussion of the Great Hanshin Earthquake that occurred in Kobe but affected the country as a whole. I believe it should be included in the article somewhere around the Social side of the page where even terrorism is brought forth. I have sources that I can use to beef this article up and get more information about what is going on. I would also include a link to the Great Hanshin Wikipedia article where one could find all information available on this website. I believe this is an important topic that should be included so let me know if anyone feels the same. As short as this article is, I believe it would do nothing negative to the page with the current problems it has while helping providing more, true information about the time period.
