– As per WP:CONCISE, the Philippines is the only country on earth which has the barangay as its subdivision. Therefore adding "Philippine" as a prefix to barangay elections is redundant. Hariboneagle927 (talk) 13:12, 2 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose. It's possible to write barangay elections on a specific locality (e.g. "2023 Manila barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections"). This can also work if the barangay elections in a locality was held on a different day, just like what happened in Marawi on 2018. Having the country name avoids confusion if it's a national-level article or to a specific place in the Philippines. Howard the Duck (talk) 13:53, 2 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
