Fair use rationale for Image:1973 single.jpg edit

Image:1973 single.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Links to iTunes edit

I am going to remove the link to iTunes that has been reinserted into the 1973 article. Please read this [1]. iTunes is both a commercial link and a site that requires specific software/registration to be used, and thus fails on two counts as an appropriate external link. Please do not reinsert iTunes links into this article or any other article. Thanks. Risker 01:23, 22 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Which song is "Here we go again"? (suggestion for improving this article) edit

I suggest that one should add a reference to which song is cited in the lyrics of "1973". Maybe this "Here we go again" song is obvious to English native speakers but that is not obvious to me for instance.

If that song is not obvious, the article may be improved by adding a list of which songs "1973" may be referring to.

Interesting question: Which one of these songs on the disambiguation page do you think it is? Blunt also recorded a demo by that title. Risker 18:59, 12 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Some people on the Internat claim that they read an interview to James Blunt, and seems that he stated that it does not refer to a specific song. I still have not found any reference to this interview anyway; maybe this could be a clue for someone to perform a better search then mine.

PS: Interesting that someone added the "Simona" part in the "Background" section; I performed a search on the Internet with keywords "james blunt festivalbar simona 1973" where "Festivalbar" is a popular music festival in Italy; Blunt was on the stage on September 7, 2007 in Verona at 21:51. The sources I found (in Italian) agree that Blunt was asked the question "who is Simona" and that was the answer indeed. Unfortunately he was not asked "which song is Here we go again..."
  • raises hand* I added that. Sorry I couldn't find a source but since it was on the radio, I didn't really know how. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.194.236.133 (talk) 04:28, 22 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

James Blunt was born in 1974 edit

Is there an explanation for how a person can look back nostalgically about the times he went to nightclubs a year before he was born? Jim Michael (talk) 06:50, 17 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
