Description?
editPerhaps a description of this race could be added? From what I've read, it was a particularily eventful race. Peoplesunionpro 01:35, Jun 26, 2005 (UTC)
Clark's Problem
editI've always understood this to have been fuel starvation, with one version having Chapman ordering a mechanic to pump four gallons of fuel out of the car before the start, thus causing it to run low in the closing laps. Mr Larrington (talk) 18:17, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if it helps any, but:
- grandprix.com says "Clark ran into fuel pump problems on the last lap".
- Mike Lang's Grand Prix! Vol 2 says "...the fuel pumps on the Lotus were failing to pick up the last few litres of fuel."

- The story I remember (probably from Road&Track magazine at the time) was that the Lotus 49 was prone to collect crud in the fuel tank sumps, clogging the filters. BMJ-pdx (talk) 17:56, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
