Endurance Racing Triple Crown

If there was an "Endurance Racing Triple Crown" in 1966, it surely would have included Nürburgring 1000 km and Targa Florio, rather than the recently established Daytona and Sebring races on simple short tracks.--2001:A62:1700:4001:A8D2:4C64:4AF7:4957 (talk) 12:48, 14 July 2018 (UTC)

In regards to the *unofficial* endurance triple crown, in my reading I have only seen references to Le Mans, Daytona and Sebring. Contemporary reports (e.g. the one referenced in this wiki) and books about the Ford-Ferrari rivalry often reference the endurance triple crown specifically in relation to Ken Miles, e.g.:

It's interesting that the official Ford press release doesn't mention the triple crown: we can speculate it was a point of contention between Miles and team management!
