@Murphanian777: Thanks for getting the ball rolling with this article. From the schedule, it seems this team had a record of 9–3–1, not including the exhibition game on September 14. But the the lead and infobox says their record was 9–2–1. Jweiss11 (talk) 02:35, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Jweiss11: Oh whoops, that is a mistake, thanks. Murphanian777 (talk) 03:24, 23 April (UTC)

@Jweiss11: By the way, how do you add images to a Wikipedia article without infringing on any copyrights? There are numerous sketches of the CAA team throughout the Chicago Tribune and the Inter Ocean, but I'm not exactly sure how to add them to this article. If I knew how I could add individual sketches of Thompson (twice), Hoagland (twice), Thomas (twice), Stevenson, Hadden, McCormick, Hudelson, Heffelfinger, Doozer, and Brown, along with 2 full-team sketches, and a couple other images like a diagram of where the ball traveled during the CAA-BAA Thanksgiving game. I'd like to add most of them but I don't know how. Murphanian777 (talk) 03:36, 23 April (UTC)

@Murphanian777:, material published prior to 1923 is generally in the public domain. I've uploaded a number of images from such sources, e.g. File:Timothy Larkin.png, pulled from a 1907 news article on Newspapers.com. The proper way to do this is to upload the image to Wikimedia Commons, and it is then available to use on Wikipedia. Jweiss11 (talk) 15:22, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Also, I see you are making use of Newspapers.com for sources, which is great. The best practice there is to "clip" to the article, which makes it viewable for anyone, not just those with a Newspapers.com subscription. Take a look at the reference I added to Timothy F. Larkin from Newspapers.com, which makes use of Template:Cite news. I believe that format is pretty close to best practice. The way you've been formatting your sources uses a mix of different date styles and clumps a few different parameters all into the title field. Jweiss11 (talk) 15:28, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
