• "central government aimed at political reconciliation" perhaps clarify that this was the Congolese central government and not the Katangese? Just say "Congolese government" instead perhaps
  • I think this is fairly clear. In most every history of the Congo at this time the Katangese government is called "Katangese government" and the Congolese government is called the "central government". Katanga had no federated parts and thus no local governments accept at the municipal level.
• "Association Générale des Baluba du Katanga (BALUBAKAT) party" do you want to red-link this article, as you do in Jason Sendwe
  • Done.
• "His father was a railway worker." "worked on the railroad" do we know which railroad(s)? If not that's fine
  • There were several lines in Katanga. The source does not specify.
• "sociology, law, and political economy" why link just one? I'd link all or none unless you feel political economy is sufficiently less well-known then the other two.
• "Essor du Congo in Élisabethville" could use a brief explanation of what the Essor du Congo was, as it doesn't have an article.
  • Done.
• I believe the Ivory Coast was referred to as Côte d'Ivoire, though I don't know about preference for in-article usage. Personally, I'd recommend changing
  • That is the official name of the sovereign country, though at the time of Kimba's trip it was still a colony, as was Senegal and Chad (there are no articles for these states in their colonial era so I was unable to link them).
• "to the Senate on a non-customary CONAKAT list" perhaps mention in the infobox?
  • Normally I would but we don't have an end date for his service in that role. After the Katangese secession he would not have sat in Parliament, but once the secession was over he would have been welcomed back. It is unclear whether he took this opportunity before Parliament was adjourned in September 1963. The situation is further complicated by the fact that throughout most of its existence the first Congolese Parliaments was plagued by absenteeism, thus one could be a member but rarely participate in proceedings.
• Do we know anything else he did as minister of foreign affairs? If that's all that's fine
  • Not much else. There's news covered of the various press conferences he hosted, but there all very standard stuff about Katanga's independent. Nothing on any particularly special things he did while in office.
• "revising the constitution" the constitution of the Congo, or of the State of Katanga?

• "central government in Léopoldville" perhaps mention that it was the Congolese capital at the cities first mention rather than its second?

  • No source is exactly clear on its purposes; it was probably an ethnic organisation aimed reconciliation.
• "Kimba's government was markedly less amicable towards Belgian interests than Tshombe's administration and more nationalistic, and aimed to curb Western influence in Congolese affairs" maybe rephrase to something like "Kimba's government was more nationalistic than Tshombe's administration and aimed to curb Western influence in Congolese affairs--it was markedly less amicable towards Belgian interests" or something because to me the part to put first in the sentence is nationalism and curbing of western influence, second comes the amicability towards Belgian interests, almost a sub-topic of curbing Western influence

  • Basically all African nations were members of the OAU. Those more "active" in the organisation regularly used it as a forum to promote issues they considered important, such as African nationalism and African unity.

  • Footnote adding that the two countries broke relations in 1963.

  • Congo river; clarified.

  • Nope, the source just says he formed a second government on that date. Because his tenure was so brief, it's difficult to find much detail behind his premiership.
• "Some time after Kimba's death" is there a specific year for the road naming?
  • None given.
• "congress of the "Luba People" " reason for "Luba People" being in quotes? Perhaps link to Luba People?
  • Luba is already linked where Kimba's ethnicity is described. Luba people is in quotes because it was in the source, also this was a political gathering of a group of Baluba and I didn't want to suggest that it was necessarily representative of an entire ethnic group.
• on the talk page, you mention the African Popular Movement founded by him. Should this be mentioned in the article?
  • I considered it, but I had difficulty placing the dates for that part of his career and thus felt it was better off to omit it for now than try and squeeze it in where it might not be accurate and in possible contradiction to more clear sources.
