Sanjana Sanghi (born 2 September 1996) is an Indian actress and model who works in Hindi-language films.[1]

Sanghi started her career as a child artist in the 2011 film Rockstar. Later, she appeared in supporting roles in the 2017 films Hindi Medium and Fukrey Returns.[2][3] Her first major role was opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Mukesh Chhabra's 2020 film, Dil Bechara.[4] In 2021, she will be starred opposite Aditya Roy Kapur in an upcoming film Om: The Battle Within which is produced by Zee Studios

Early life

Sanjana Sanghi was born on 2 September 1996[citation needed] in Delhi, India to businessman Sandeep Sanghi and homemaker Shagun.[5] She has a brother, Sumer.[6][better source needed] She studied at Modern School in Delhi and then completed her graduation in Journalism and Mass communication from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi in 2017.[7]

Career

Sanghi made her acting debut in Imtiaz Ali's romantic drama film Rockstar in 2011. She was cast by Mukesh Chhabra after he saw her performing on stage at her school.[8] In 2017, she acted in Fukrey Returns and Hindi Medium.[9][10] In 2018, she was chosen as the female lead for Dil Bechara, starring alongside Sushant Singh Rajput in the adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars.[11]

Sanghi has also appeared in advertisements for companies like Tanishq, Cadbury, Aircel, Coca-Cola, Myntra and Dabur.[citation needed] She also appeared in Guru Randhawa's music video 'Mehendi Wale Haath', directed by Arvindr Khaira.[12]

In December 2020, Sanghi is signed to be featured in Kapil Verma's action drama Om: The Battle Within as Aditya Roy Kapur's love interest.[13]
