Quchan Atiq District (Persian: بخش قوچان عتیق) is in Quchan County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Shahr-e Kohneh,[2] whose population at the 2016 National Census was 3,320 people in 1,062 households.[3]

In 2019, Dughayi Rural District and Quchan Atiq Rural District were separated from the Central District in the establishment of Abkuh District[4] and Quchan Atiq District,[2] respectively, each of which was divided into two rural districts. The village of Shahr-e Kohneh was elevated to the status of a city.[5]
