Edit request on 7 October 2013 edit

Just a typo - "Mutiple refs are given the name" should be "Multiple" -- John of Reading (talk) 11:17, 7 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Urlstatus edit

This was requested on Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)/Archive_175#RefToolbar, without any objections. Add the following in a newline after line 56. That line was picked to maintain alphabetical order. This change should be added along with MediaWiki talk:RefToolbarConfig.js#Urlstatus. The change will add an tooltip for an url-status edit field for the cite web template. (url-status is the new parameter for dead links)

'cite-urlstatus-tooltip' : 'Mark the status of the link.', --Snaevar (talk) 21:55, 9 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

I've expanded the tooltip a bit, so that it's a little more descriptive of what the field represents. Writ Keeper  14:44, 10 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Interface-protected edit request on 24 October 2020 edit

Please add tooltips for the agency and publisher fields, per this discussion, as demonstrated here. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 18:15, 24 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Xaosflux: Hmm, it looks like that wasn't enough to actually change the behavior of RefTools, so we may need to add something elsewhere, too. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 17:50, 13 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
Simply defining the messages would not make the tooltips appear. The messages need to be used from MediaWiki:RefToolbarConfig.js (ctrl+F for "tooltip" on that page to understand where and how to add them). – SD0001 (talk) 13:57, 16 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
SD0001, thanks! Requested there. Also, Xaosflux, I forgot to capitalize the first word to harmonize with the existing tooltips. Could we fix that, as demonstrated here? Apologies for the previous oversight. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 19:04, 16 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
