The hamlet is surrounded by woodland and hills. The forest to the north is called Dalmarnock Wood.[3] The short Littleton Burn passes through the hamlet from west to east before shortly flowing into the Tay, splitting the village in half - north and south. Almost all the houses are located the north side and the access to the static caravan park and farm buildings on the south side.
The main row of houses, on the west side of the main road are on a lane set back from the through road, with a grass verge and hedgerow. The east side of the hamlet is flat farmland and fields.
