Probable COI editing edit

It seems pretty clear that the original article, full of puffery and NGO advocacy, has been created almost entirely from the organization's own POV by an editor with a conflict of interest. I have tried to clean up most of the worst problems, but the entire article needs more work from uninvolved interested editors to clean up this self-promotional NGO homepage and include more independent sources if available. Hello, I am a staff member at Village Enterprise and we are happy to work with the editorial team at Wikipedia to answer any questions about the organization. I also want to point out several articles that could be of use to updating the page—Village Enterprise recently received a Fast Company World Changing Ideas Award for their DREAMS for Refugees project with Mercy Corps, they also received a $7 million dollar donation from MacKenzie Scott in 2023, the Village Enterprise Development Impact Bond was studied in an RCT by IDinsight (see report here) and featured in a 2022 Brookings event, and their CEO Dianne Calvi was honored with the President's Award for the Advancement of the Common Good from Stanford University in 2023 and she also had an op-ed published in Fortune on World Refugee Day in 2023.
Please let me know if I can be of assistance in any way to having the page reinstated. BrettSlezak (talk) 20:20, 11 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Page Rewrite edit

I have rewritten the article as it was inaccurate and had improper sourcing. Please note that I do work at Village Enterprise as I have stated in my user profile. In my rewrite, I have tried to be as impartial as possible, and I have submitted my draft for review through Articles for Creation. I have also asked questions to a few editors on their talk pages to try to ensure I am following all of Wikipedia's guidelines and protocols. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions about the rewrite, and thank you for your review. BrettSlezak (talk) 19:37, 16 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
