Uraan (transl. Fly) is an Indian Bengali-language drama television series which premiered from 27 May 2024 on Star Jalsha and is also available in the digital platform Disney+ Hotstar.[1] It is produced by Surinder Singh and Nispal Singh under the banner of Surinder Films and features Pratik Sen, and Ratnapriya Das in lead roles. The series is an official remake of Tamil TV series Siragadikka Aasai that airs on Star Vijay.[2]
Premise
editThe show centres on the unexpected marriage of Pujarini, the eldest daughter of the Bannerjee family and Maharaj, an eccentric taxi driver struggling with alcoholism. They slowly understand each other. Their journey to self-improvement and togetherness, despite external pressures, is a testament to the enduring power of love.
