The Buried Giant is an upcoming American stop-motion animated fantasy film directed by Guillermo del Toro. It is based on the novel of the same name by Kazuo Ishiguro.
Premise
editFollows a couple living in a post Arthurian world where no one's long-term memory is retained as the attempt to locate their son.
Production
editIt was announced in February 2023 that Guillermo del Toro would reunite with Netflix and ShadowMachine on an adaptation of the Kazuo Ishiguro novel. del Toro, in addition to directing and producing, will write the screenplay alongside Dennis Kelly.[1] Production is not set to begin until 2025.[2]
